Friedrich, Pilgrim in a Sea of Fog
"I am
doing this act to see what there is after death and who is right. In this
world there is little hope for young people, and I hope that my gesture
will help the world to realize that we exist too, with our problems.
I ask my parents' forgiveness; they have always loved me very much and never
let me want for anyhting.
I ask the forgiveness also of the school authorities, who are not to blame.
My last wish is to be cremated. Goodbye."

Desire,
I have dragged
you through the streets
I have left you lonely in the fields,
I have got you drunk in the cities,
I have got you drunk without
slaking your thirst,
I have got you wet on moonlit nights,
I have taken you everywhere,
I have rocked you on the waves,
I tried to put you to sleep in the flux,
desire, desire what is it you want?
When will you get tired?
Field
I am always fascinated
by the sky, whether it's clear, cloudy, or starry. The sky, with its inconstancy
and its infinite greatness, gives me a sense of power, and at the same time,
of freedom, the freedom I don't have at school and don't find at home.
