Message of Fr. Julián Carrón

Our dear friend Fr. Giorgio has left us. His total dedication to the education of young people in the sequela of Fr. Giussani will always remain a unique witness for us.
Many today will mourn the death of a father, someone who communicated to them the meaning of life. They will never forget his passion for each one of them. How many can say they have met the faith, through him, as something attractive and grandiose! Everything about him, even his temperament, said that to be a Christian means to be a man, without censuring or forgetting anything.
For all of us, Fr. Giorgio will remain an example of sequela of the charism in the present day of the life of the Movement. Above all in the last few years, since Fr. Giussani’s death, he was even more assiduous in wanting to identify with the steps the Spirit of Christ continued to indicate to each of us so as to carry out his work in the world.
Let us ask Fr. Giussani to obtain for us the same passion that Christ be acknowledged and proclaimed in the world that we saw in Fr. Giorgio.
